Seeds of Promise hosts several events that span the seasons! If you have questions about our events or if you would like to contribute or participate, please reach out using the method outlined in the event description. We can't wait to see you!

Dumpster Day

Seeds of Promise hosts an annual city-funded program for residents to dispose of household clutter. In order to participate in the Seeds of Promise Dumpster Day event, you must be a resident of the Southtown-Madison Square neighborhood.

Dumpster Day occurs in the fall. Follow our Facebook Page for updates on when and where the next Dumpster Day will be held. To volunteer for the event, please sign up through our volunteer form.

National Night Out

National Night Out is a free event hosted by Seeds of Promise to celebrate community and safety in the neighborhood. This event has multiple sponsors and partners, and there are food and games offered to all participants. This is an opportunity to meet neighbors and network within the community!

Community Green Up

Seeds of Promise partners with Friends of Grand Rapids for a spring tree planting event and neighborhood cleanup. We plant trees, spread mulch and pick up trash and recycling in the Southtown-Madison Square Neighborhood. Tools, materials, and lunch are provided.
